The Sugar Spoon Showdown is a celebration of Southern baking traditions, family recipes, and front porch hospitality at Roots & Revival MusicFest. From Mama's Best Pie and Church Supper Favorites to treasured Heirloom Desserts and our Little Sugar Spoon Youth Competition, bakers of all ages are invited to share the recipes that make memories. Whether you're competing for the coveted Golden Sugar Spoon or simply carrying on a family tradition, we can't wait to see what you bring to the table.
RULES TO PARTICIPATE
Each participate must hold at a minimum General Admission Ticket
Entry Fee: $10 for your first category, $5 for each additional category.
Youth Competition (Ages 16 & Under): FREE.
Homemade entries only. NOTHING STORE BOUGHT! 🥧🍪🥄
All Entries must be paid for before November 10th to allow proper setup for the event.

PIE CATEGORIES
This category is for the pie that gives you the taste just like home! This can be a pie flavor of any choice! This category will be judged by a panel of judges selected by Roots and Revival Fest!
This category is for the pie that gives that after church for Sunday dinner vibe. This can be a pie flavor of any choice! This category will be judged by a panel of judges selected by Roots and Revival Fest!
This category is for the pie that is the Classic Southern Recipe that stands the test of time! This category will be judged by a panel of judges selected by the Roots and Revival Fest!
DESSERT CATEGORIES
This category is that dessert everyone rushes to after church to get first! This category will be judged by a panel of judges selected by Roots and Revival Fest!
This category is for that dessert that has been in your family for years!

This category is the PEOPLES CHOICE! Desserts in this category will be in the VIP Lounge Only and judged by our VIP's tasting and voting on your desserts!

talent and be a part of the Sugar Spoon Showdown! 16 and under only this is a FREE category for kids to enter their favorite cookie to make and taste! This category will be judged by our Roots and Revival judges!
This category is that dessert served on the front porch while everyone is picking and grinning to music. This category will be judged by a panel of judges selected by Roots and Revival Fest!
